Common problems in the use of household paper

Mar 28, 2022

Tensile strength is an important indicator for measuring wholesale toilet paper, which belongs to quality inspection and random inspection items. Tensile strength is commonly referred to as toughness and tensile strength. Choosing bamboo pulp paper towels with good tensile strength and strong toughness can effectively avoid various common problems in the purchase and use of tissue paper. Whether pure bamboo pulp paper, wood pulp paper or straw pulp paper, paper is made of interwoven fibers. Bamboo fiber is a cellulose fiber extracted from naturally grown bamboo, and is the five major natural fibers after cotton, hemp, wool and silk.

The bamboo fiber contained in bamboo pulp paper is longer, which makes it have the characteristics of high tensile force and good toughness. However, the inferior paper towels that do not meet the specifications will inevitably reduce the tensile strength of the paper in pulping and papermaking, showing the characteristics of easy breakage, easy fracture and poor toughness. The following is a brief list: the common non-standard toilet paper production and processing methods, the reasons for reducing the tension and toughness of toilet paper.

Recycled paper Recycled paper: The state allows the use of recycled waste paper as raw material to make paper, but the scope of application is strictly limited; and there are many problems in specific operations. Secondary pulping inevitably destroys the plant fibers contained in the paper. Even if the original bamboo pulp paper is pulped for the first time, if the technological process of cooking and beating is not strictly controlled, it will destroy the bamboo fiber and make it lose its original characteristics; and recycling will go through the pulping and papermaking process again. The damage to paper fibers is self-evident.

Addition of talcum powder, bleaching powder and softening and bulking agent: In order to reduce costs and increase the softness and smoothness of toilet paper, some toilet paper manufacturers add a large amount of talcum powder and bleaching powder in the production process of toilet paper. At the same time, starch was added in order to improve the retention rate of talc. Such toilet paper is small and heavy, has poor toughness, low tensile force, is dusty, is easy to slag, and is often accompanied by excessive bacterial communities. The basic reason for its low tensile strength is the damage of bleaching powder to fibers and the weakening of talc powder to the binding force between fibers.
